We managed to create a fantastic day yesterday with a great turnout for our relic of the Talking Statue of Anker Jørgensen (1922-2016).

We were delighted that Former Minister, Mogens Jensen, Lord Mayor Sophie Hæstorp Andersen, and the initiative taker of the statue, Susan Hedlund, all attended.

Also, the participation of Form Prime Minister Anker Jørgensen’s children, Lars Kvist Jørgensen, Kirsten Kvist Jørgensen, and Mette Kvist Jørgensen was very touching.

The atmosphere was conjured up by the good speeches, the large turnout, and the voice of Anker’s Talking Statue that rang out across the square.

Suddenly, an atmosphere was created that one does not want to end when people gather to remember a special person – and one had to conclude that even though Anker died in 2016 – he is still with us!
