You can now win a prize if you can find and talk to 10 statues in New York. The way it works is that you download our app for free and you find 10 Talking Statues. There is a map in the app to help you find your way. In Central Park alone, there are 11 Talking Statues. In New York, there are more than 40 Talking Statues. Each time you find a Talking Statue and have received a call from the statue, it will be registered and once you have counted 10 you can trigger your reward!

how does the app work using gps instead of QR codes?

Our app is free and available on both App Store and Google Play. So you can download it for both iPhone and Android. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll find talking statues all over the world. The reward system is only active in New York at the moment. When you get close to a statue, just enter into the red circle on the map and it will turn green and then the statue will start calling you! Each time you visit a statue you get points, once you have 10 you receive your reward!

instructions

1) Go to either the Play Store or Google Play and download the Talking Statues app. When you see it on your desktop phone, open it and log in.

2) After login the app will open and you will see the menu which looks like this. Now you can either tap on MAP to see the map of New York. On the map you will find all the statues in New York – there are about 40. The majority are in Manhattan.

3) Now you have to decide which statue you want to visit first. You can see the closest one by using the “Statues” button. Under “Statues” you can also find the distance to the statue and a route to get there.

4) When you arrive at the statue you will see a red ring around the statue on the map. As soon as you move into the red ring, it turns green and then the phone rings and you get a call…

5) Each time you have visited a statue it will be recorded you can either look under “Statues” or under “Reward” to see how many statues you have found and talked to. When you have reached 10 statues your app triggers the reward
