The Bust of Dalida is a tribute to the legendary Italian/Egyptian singer who was born in Egypt of Italian descent as Yolanda Cristina Gigliotti. She was a celebrated chanteuse and actress who lived close to the square dedicated to her in Montmartre, Paris .
The bust is located in a small square known as Place Dalida, in the Montmartre district of Paris. This square was created in 1995 on the corner of Rue Girardon and Rue de l’Abreuvoir, and in 1997 a bronze bust of the singer was added to the square.
Local legend has it that if you touch the bust of Dalida, you’ll be rewarded with good luck.
