The Chizhik-Pyzhik statue in Saint Petersburg is a tiny monument that stands at only 11 centimeters in height. The statue depicts a siskin, also known as a goldfinch or barley bird, and is one of the smallest sculptures in the city .

Installed near the Summer Garden in 1994, the Chizhik-Pyzhik statue is well-known in St. Petersburg and is even referred to as a lucky bird. Despite its small size, the statue holds a significant place in the city’s landscape .

The statue is located at the Panteley-Monovsky Bridge, also known as The Engineer Bridge, which is halfway up the Fontanka River .
