Il Facchino, also known as “Il Facchino,” is one of Rome’s famous “talking statues.” The statue represents a lost Roman profession that was vandalized for centuries .

The statue is located in via del Babuino, similar to Il Babuino. Like the other five “talking statues” in Rome, Il Facchino is associated with pasquinades – irreverent satires poking fun at public figures.

Il Facchino, or “The Porter,” dates back to 1580 and is one of Rome’s notorious “talking statues” .
